Autism Conversations: Master Class with Professor Tony Attwood and Marilyn J. Monteiro PhD
Two Day Training in Brisbane, 5 and 6 July 2012
Venue: Novotel Brisbane, Kendall Room, 200 Creek Street, Brisbane.
Time: 9am–4pm
Price: $650 + GST
About the Masterclass:
Clinicians are increasingly expected to be proficient in diagnosing children, adolescents and adults with suspected forms of autism spectrum developmental differences. The proposed changes in the DSM-V diagnostic criteria for autism and Asperger's Syndrome make it essential for practitioners to learn how to discuss autism spectrum neurodevelopmental differences in practical and up-to-date terms.
As the number of identified individuals with levels of autism spectrum differences grows, clinicians must also gain skills in their knowledge of best practice treatment and intervention strategies.
This two-day Masterclass provides practitioners with current information regarding the identification of and intervention planning for children, adolescents, and adults with autism spectrum differences. Participants will learn to recognise the hallmark characteristics of all levels of autism spectrum differences. Particular emphasis will be placed on helping clinicians recognise the unique presentation of this developmental difference in girls. |
